Audience profile

A typical reader for my magazine is Georgia Smith, she is a 16 year old student currently taking AS levels at college. She is interested in music which is generally in the top 40 and popular artists, some of these include: Rihanna, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran etc. although she tends to listen to solo artists more she also likes to listen to some groups such as one direction. The music she generally listens to is mainstream music but there may be rare occassions in which she likes other types of music. She reads lots of magazines which have all the gossip about celebrities in, and the usual magazines normally found in any supermarket. She says she loves any upbeat kind of music which is easy to dance to and  has a good tune to it.

Evaluation of contents page

I have done my contents page on an A4 size. I have made the title large and in capitals again so it grabs the readers attention and they know what to expect from the page. The page has the same colour scheme as the front cover so the back ground is white and the title is in a black font to make it stand out and be easily read against the back ground.
The list of contents are written in black font to again make them easily readable against the white background, however the special featured articles for that month are in a pink font to make them stand out against all the other pages so people want to look forward to reading them the most.
The images down the side purely represent a student of Lutterworth college who looks fairly relaxed which is contrasted with the image of books which suggests we're in a time of the school year where we  have a lot of work to be doing and revision which could be quite stressful for students who have got a few exams coming up, some of which may be their first exam of that subject.
I have made the magazine only 22 pages long so that it doesn't bore people with too much irrelevant or uninteresting information but it has enough to keep them occupied reading the magazine for a certain amount of time.

Evaluation of magazine cover

The magazine cover is an A4 page which includes a main image in the centre of the page of a girl. The image is a mid-shot and takes up nearly the full length of the page. I chose to make the image big to make it the main centre of attention.
The title is also one of the main attention grabbers on my magazine cover, I made the title very large and in capital letters, it's a black font on a white background so it's easily seen and stands out against the background. I made the title 'Elcie' which refers to the schools inititals, LC. I named it this because it's a magazine full of general information about the school, including exam times, revision notes and opinions.
The writing to the side of the image on either side are the main features in the magazine for that month. I have written the question in a pink font to make it stand out and to match the hair colour of the girl in the image.  The questions are written in a larger font to grab the readers attention and then there's a small sentence of information to get the readers attention but not to give too much away so that they'll want to read it.
The black strip at the bottom shows who's been interviewed for this months magazine, I have put a black strip to make it different from the rest of the page and then white writing over the black strip so that the writing clearly stands out and is easy to read, grabbing the readers attention.
I have placed the barcode in a place where it's not in the way of anything else and where there wouldn't be enough room to place anything worth while there so there's nothing to be missed out on from having to put a bar code in.
The colour scheme for my magazine cover is a bright pink, white and black, I have used these colours in text, backgrounds and the bright pink is partly in the image. I think put together they can all stand out from eachother and will be an easy colour to read.
