The magazine cover is an A4 page which includes a main image in the centre of the page of a girl. The image is a mid-shot and takes up nearly the full length of the page. I chose to make the image big to make it the main centre of attention.
The title is also one of the main attention grabbers on my magazine cover, I made the title very large and in capital letters, it's a black font on a white background so it's easily seen and stands out against the background. I made the title 'Elcie' which refers to the schools inititals, LC. I named it this because it's a magazine full of general information about the school, including exam times, revision notes and opinions.
The writing to the side of the image on either side are the main features in the magazine for that month. I have written the question in a pink font to make it stand out and to match the hair colour of the girl in the image. The questions are written in a larger font to grab the readers attention and then there's a small sentence of information to get the readers attention but not to give too much away so that they'll want to read it.
The black strip at the bottom shows who's been interviewed for this months magazine, I have put a black strip to make it different from the rest of the page and then white writing over the black strip so that the writing clearly stands out and is easy to read, grabbing the readers attention.
I have placed the barcode in a place where it's not in the way of anything else and where there wouldn't be enough room to place anything worth while there so there's nothing to be missed out on from having to put a bar code in.
The colour scheme for my magazine cover is a bright pink, white and black, I have used these colours in text, backgrounds and the bright pink is partly in the image. I think put together they can all stand out from eachother and will be an easy colour to read.
