If I chose a long shot for my front cover image, I have decided to use mainly dark coloured clothing on my model, such as black, dark grey or very dark blue. I will probably either use a dark dress or leggings with a nice dark top.
If I use a close up shot for my front cover I will focus on detail mainly for the eyes and lips, using a bright red lipstick, and having dark eyes, the dark eyes will really make the red lips stand out. I will also style the hair to look in a certain way so each little detail is focused on more than it would be if it was a long shot being used.
I would use a dark or light top so the shoulders which will just be visible will stand out against the white background or blend into it nicely to make the face stand out more.
The pose I get my model to use will depend on which pose suits them best and which pose they look the most comfortable in, but will also fit onto the cover of my magazine nicely.
