Genre magazine covers - mainstream music

 Alot of mainstream music artists are displayed on magazine front covers with bright colours, a bright pink is used quite often for women artists on the front covers, and all of the magazine covers use quite a lot of black font and black outfits on the artists. They all have quite a simplistic layout, the covers aren't too crammed up with information but they have enough information and important bold information to bring in the readers and make the readers want to read the whole magazine. The Q magazines in particular use quite a simplistic layout, but because they're a big well known magazine, they don't need so much information on the front to bring in the readers, a newer less known magazine would have slightly more information on to advertise all the good parts inside the magazine, but not too much to make the front cover seem crammed as readers don't tend to like a 'messy' looking magazine cover.
