Magazine examples - colour scheme

Magazine examples with the colour scheme of blue/red/black as the main colours.
Blue is only used a little bit but it adds more colour and brightness to the front cover, making small important parts stand out more. Both the models for these magazine are wearing black leggings and no top, if I used this colour scheme I would use black leggings or tights with a nice deep blue or burgandy top. I like the ideas of using the black panthers although it would be impractical to use animals on my music magazine, I think it brings out the blackness against the other colours on the cover of this magazine.

Whenever blue is used as part of a colour palette, it is normally a light sky blue, which easily stands out against black and white.

Too  much blue can make the front cover seem to bright and crowded, looks like a more messy layout than a simple eyecatching one. I think magazie covers with only a little bit of blue and mostly black or red work a lot better than using mostly blue fonts all over the front cover.
